Easter 2012 (Hudson's First)
I wrote this is April, but just realized it never actually posted to the blog... So enjoy!
We had a great Easter weekend! It began on Saturday with the D&L Easter Egg Hunt. It was a really fun day. Dean grilled what seemed like a 1000 hot dogs. Hudson maneuvered his way through 100 kids and owned the easter egg hut. Okay so not really, Emily and I found a couple of eggs and blocked them off for Hud man. Then he went in and was a personal add for raw meat!
Sunday started off with Church. It was a good service. We went to Crosspoint, the church we are attending in McKinney. Then we met my family at the Arboretum in Dallas for lunch. It was packed with people but the spring flowers were beautiful! After the Arboretum we headed back to my parents house to let Hud open his easter basket. Talk about a cute show! That night Emily and I went with Matt and Emily as well as Elizabeth and Jeremy to the Rangers game. It was a great Easter!

The Pilot Point Experience
So one of the biggest blessings about being in DFW is while we are building our home in McKinney we are living in Pilot Point with Emily's Grandma. It has been so much fun... late nights watching American Idol, laughing our butts off with Grandma, going for walks, and Denver getting to play with all the neighborhood dogs. It has been great being right down the street from Emily's family and for Hudson to get to be around his Nanna. It is going to be bitter sweet moving into our house in July.
All this play has definitely worn Hudson out!

Spring Break in Colorado!
This year we packed up and went to Crested Butte, CO for Spring Break. It was awesome. We got to ski in 45 degree weather. Emily's parents rented a ski-in/ski-out condo. It was us, Emily's parents, her sisters, Jacob and Caroline. It was a blast. We skied 3 days. It was Emily and I's first time to ski together because last year Emily didn't get to ski because she was prego with little man. It was Hannah's first time to ski, and she did amazing. The skiing was great but the evenings were great to due to Jacob bringing "Zombie Dice" and some flinging poo card game. They were the types of games that just make you laugh the entire time.
Now It was definitely an interesting experience getting to and from Colorado. So we originally bought the airline tickets last fall while we still thought we were going to be living in Houston. So challenge 1 was getting the tickets switched to leaving out of DFW (yea definitely paid an arm and a leg for that switch). Then on the way home we get to the airport and check in when over the intercom it is announced that our United flight from Gunison to Denver was cancelled. So along with everyone else on that flight we stood in line to get everything switched. In stead of waiting and hoping I walked over to the American Airlines ticket line and used miles to buy a ticket to get home, then went back over to United and they reimbursed us for the tickets (which we are still waiting for that money to hit our account). So when it was all said and done we got home an hour earlier then we originally planned.

DFDUB!
January 14th we said goodbye to Houston and said hello to Dallas. An opportunity came up for me to go transfer to the Plano branch. God definitely had his hands in on the whole thing. We decided to rent out our house instead of selling it. We had a great family who put an offer to lease it out for 2 years after it had only been on the market for 1 day! Currently we are staying in corporate housing at the Shops of Legacy, which has been a huge blessing! However, we are beginning to get that "get me out of this apartment" feeling. Hudson has been such a stud through the whole process. He has quickly become an avid traveler! IN a couple weeks when we move out of corporate housing we are going to stay with Grandma Rentfrow in her house in Pilot Point.
Since being in Dallas...
1. We have eaten at way to many restaurants since being in Dallas
2. Emily has taken up golf and now owns a set of clubs
3. Hudson had pink eye
4. I turned 27 and we got to eat at BABES!!!!!!!!
We are truly blessed and completely stoked that we are in Dallas.
The following are AWESOME pictures of Hudson I wanted to show off!

Q1 of Hudson's Life is in the Books
Life has been AMAZING with Hud! It seems like every day he is doing something cuter that tops what he did the day before. I also believe he has done more traveling than any child in the first three months. Emily has been the most amazing momma with him... I on the other hand am still learning. One thing we have learned about Hudson is he loves watching TV. He will sit in front of the tv and watch football for hours. Problem with that is he loves Baylor... our 3 month year old is already thinking of putting in his letter of intent to one of the most expensive schools in Texas.... great!
This week we went to Disney World... before anyone says out loud the thought your thinking, "you took your 3 month year old to Disney World!?!?!", know that he was amazingly awesome! In fact he had a great time! Hudson loved the Peter Pan ride at Magic Kingdom.
As long as he had his monkey blanket, he was loving life the entire time!
Disney World was a blast, we all had a good time!

He is here!
Hudson Dean Saller is here! He is the most beautiful little boy ever! It's pretty easy to write about him right now because he is sound asleep right next to me. His first month has been very eventful and very exciting!
He was born on September 19, 2011. 7 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches long. It was definitely an exciting day. We were supposed to go in the hospital that Sunday at 10:00pm for Emily to begin the inducement. At 9:00pm we get a call that says there are no empty rooms and they will call us the next morning... what a bummer! It was pretty difficult to sleep that night because we were so tired! The next morning I wake up and come out into the living room to watch TV. At this time we still have not heard from the hospital, until all of a sudden Emily walks outside and says.... I'm not sure but I think my water just broke! That is when the fun began... Mia (Emily's Mom), G (My Mom) and Papi (My Dad) hung out at the hospital for 14 hours of total "excitement"! Emily rocked! She did very well, and everything went very smooth.
The first month has been pretty eventful! For the first week and a half Mia stayed with us to help out. She was AMAZING and such a blessing to have at the house to help! Emily's Dad and sisters came to visit that week as well. It was a fun and exciting week and Hudson loved it! He is such a happy baby!
When Hudson was not even two weeks old we packed up and went to Austin for Jacob's, Emily's brothers wedding. It was a great weekend as well! Hudson did awesome on the drive and throughout the entire weekend. Best part about it was that most of Emily's family got to meet him and spend some time with him.
The next week, my mom came to visit for a week. Same deal, it was a lot of fun and Mom was a huge help! It is so nice to have parents who want to help and be there. Emily and I have mentioned multiple times how blessed we feel.
That weekend we went to Dallas so that Hudson could meet Mom-mom and Grandad and bunch of people on my side of the family! Hudson is turning into an amazing traveler!
Hudson has gotten real into the Rangers with Emily and I. He even dresses the part to watch the games!
This is a funny story. Emily had Bible study one morning and when she woke up to take the dogs outside it was cold so she decided to dress Hudson really warm (which actually I think she was going more for cute then warm). When it was time to leave for Bible study she goes outside and it was 75 degrees. Yes, I definitely gave her a hard time for that one!

Counting Down the Days
Less than 2 months until Hudson Dean comes into the world...
Less than 2 weeks until Emily stops for working for the time being...
It's crazy how much God can change your life away from what you thought was "the" plan. Emily and I are getting so excited to see what he has in store for us over the next few months. I have found that with Hudson on the way and adding to Emily and I getting married last year and then all of the new and amazing changes that have happened in our lives that my prayer time, my thoughts, my worries, and the things that Emily and I are excited about are 100% completely different every day! Not gonna lie... it does help having an amazing spouse to go through life changes with!
This summer has been exciting! We went to Colorado for the 4th of July for Emmy Jo and Garrets wedding! It was a lot of fun and good for Emily because she got to have a good long weekend with her college girl friends!
We then left for a 11 day vacation to the north east United States. Emily and I left on a Thursday and went to Boston by ourselves for 2 days. It was amazing! Emily and I had so much fun together just the two of us. We have made a committment to each other to do as much as possible this summer just the two of us before our life does a 360 in September. We went to Fenway Park on Thursday night and saw the Red Sox play the Orioles.
Fenway was AMAZING!!!!! It is a baseball fans dream.. all of the history and the atmosphere. That Friday morning Emily and I went back to Fenway and took a full tour. It was really neat hearing about the history of the Red Sox and Fenway Park.
The rest of that day we just toured Boston. My 30 week, at the time, prego wife was a champ... or in her words she was clutch! We walked a long way and saw a lot of things and she just chugged along! Even though I just think she was determined because she knew the end of the day was going to be made up of food from Quincy Market!!!
Saturday morning we rented a car at the airport where we met the rest of Emily's family and drove to Lake Winnipesaukee NH. We spent a week there with Emily's grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It was a blast. We fished, we ate, kayaked (definitely a funny story there that envolved me flipping the kayak and almost dying), we jet skid, tubed behind a boat, hiked, had a ping pong and horseshoe tournament, ate some more, explored the city, slept and then ate some more.
Emily had fun because her and Hudson got all sorts of attention!
The whole fam in NH!!!
Last Sunday, Emily had her first Baby Shower!!!! We had a couples shower at Brad and Mindy's house with our friends from First Baptist. It was amazing. They did so much for us. Shannon cooked some amazing food and everyone gave us some nice gifts. We have been so blessed to have this group of friends during our first year or marriage! It has been such a God send...
